Pocket Pug

Hey all, it's been a while since I've updated this blog.
Here's a pattern I had posted to tumblr previously in 2013

This pattern is for semi experienced crocheters. Just be familiar with increases and decreases, and assembling amigurumi.

This is my own pattern, please don’t claim it or try and sell it as your own! You can make as many pugs as you want, but not for profit, unless you plan to donate 100% profits to animal shelters :)
Materials needed:
- hook size F (3.75 mm)
- yarn in beige, brown, black, and pink
- yarn sewing needle
- stuffing
- approx time: 2 hours
Ears (make 2)
- chain 2
- 2 sc in second chain from hook, chain 1, turn
- 1 sc in first st, 2 sc in next st, chain 1, turn
- 1 sc in each stitch, bind off, leaving a tail to sew ears
Foot (make 4)
- chain 2
- 4 sc in 2nd chain from hook
- 1 sc in each st around. bind off, leave tail to sew to body.
Snout (not entirely sure if this is how I did it)
- chain 8
- 1 sc in 2nd chain from hook, 2 sc in each of next 4 sts, 1 sc in last st
- bind off leaving tail to sew
Tongue (optional, but COME ON, it’s cuter this way)
- chain 3
- 1 sc in 2nd chain from hook, 1 slip stitch in next stitch.
- leave long tail to sew.
Head
make a ball with 24 sts at its widest point.
- 6 sts
- 12 sts
- 18 sts
- 24 sts
- 4 rounds of 24 sts
- 18 sts
- fill with stuffing
- 12 sts, bind off, leave tail to sew to body
Body
make an oblong shape with 12 sts at its widest point
- 6 sts
- 12 sts
- 5 rnds of 12 sts
- fill with stuffing
- 6 sts, bind off, weave in ends.

Tail (actually, idk how I made it, I just wanted it to be curly and small)
- chain 5 sts
- 3 slip stitches in 2nd chain from hook and all stitches after.
- bind off leaving yarn to sew to body
Assembly
- I use french knots for the eyes, you could use safety eyes.
- sew tongue to face, sew snout over tongue, sew a nose on snout
- sew ears to head ( i placed them on the 3rd round)
- sew head to body
- sew feet to body
- sew tail to body
