Shark dude

Patterns are free for personal use. I did not test this pattern, it is free partly because of that. There may be some typos. If you have questions, hit me up on twitter or instagram @andreacrochets.

Do not sell anything made from my patterns unless for charity/non-profit purposes.

You will need:

- F hook

- skin color yarn (i used a grey shade of red heart yarn)

- shorts color yarn (i used a light blue shade of old lion brand yarn i had)

- dark red yarn for inside the mouth (i used old scrap yarn)

- white yarn for teeth (i use red heart in white)

NOTE: this pattern is worked from the head down to the toes, with separate pieces to sew on such as:

arms, fin, teeth, and mouth lining. I like to start my amigurumis with a Ch 2, but you can start yours with a

magic ring if you prefer that method!

Head: - start this with skin color

rnd 1 - ch 2 (or magic ring), single crochet 6 in second chain from hook (or in magic ring) [6]

rnd 2 - *increase* in each stitch around  [12]

rnd 3 - *inc, sc1* around [18]

This next part will shape the nose

rnd 9 - ch 10, skip 10, sc 14 [24]

rnd 10 - 1 sc in each chain, sc 14 [24]

This part is shoulder shaping

rnd 11 - sc 10, inc, sc, inc, sc, inc, sc 4, inc, sc, inc, sc, inc [30]

rnd 12 - sc 11, inc, sc2, inc, sc 2, inc, sc 5, inc, sc 2, inc, sc 2, inc [36]

rnd 14 - sc 36 [36]

rnd 15 - sc 11, inv dec, sc 2, inv dec, sc 2, inv dec, sc 5, inv dec, sc 2, inv dec, sc 2, inv dec [30]

rnd 19 - sc 2, inv dec, sc, inv dec, sc, inv dec, sc 17 [24]

rnd 20 - sc 24

This is the lower torso including shorts. You can make removable shorts if you want, just don't change the colors here and make the shorts separately, but I don't currently have instructions to do that - I will possibly add that later

*change to shorts color*

rnd 21 - sc 24 [24]

rnd 22 - sc 24 [24]

rnd 23 - inc, sc, inc, sc 6 , inc, sc, inc, sc, inc, sc 8, inc, sc [30]

rnd 30 - sc 12 [12]

rnd 31 - *sc 2, dec* around [9]

rnd 32 - sc 9 [9]

rnd 33 - *sc, dec* around [6]

OTHER leg rnd 24 - sc 15, leave the tail poking out and start the next round as normal

continue the rest of the leg as you did the first leg, make sure the toes are facing the same way. if they are not, you might need to offset by a stitch or 2.

QP doll

My patterns are free for personal use. I did not test this pattern, it is free partly because of that. There may be some typos. If you have questions, hit me up on twitter or instagram @andreacrochets.

Do not sell anything made from my patterns unless for charity/non-profit purposes.

This doll is modeled after the design of Rose O'Neill. Over the years there have been many different versions of kewpie dolls. Ceramic, vinyl, rubber, etc. This is my tiny yarn version of a kewpie doll. I modeled it after a rubber craft kewpie doll that I own.

Materials
E hook (3.50 mm)
flesh color yarn (I use Red Heart in buff)

NOTE: this doll is worked from the feet up to the head. I will have instructions for
2 different styles: 4 moving limbs or just moving arms.

FOOT - (make 2)
~ magic ring
~ 6 single crochets in magic ring, 3 sc into the first single crochet of magic ring (8)
~ BACK LOOP ONLY for this round only unless otherwise specified: 1 sc in next 5 sts, 3 sc together (6)
~ BOTH LOOPS: 1 sc in each stitch around
~ 1 sc in each stitch around
~ 1 sc in each stitch around
~ 1 sc in each stitch around

******************************************************************
FOR MOVING FEET OPTION:
Do one more row of 1 sc in each stitch around. Bind off leaving a long tail on both feet.
weave tail through the last round sts and pull together like a draw string, secure with a knot.
When you have both feet completed, you will attach them together with a knot by pulling one
string on each side towards the middle of the doll and knotting. This is the same method used to attach the moving arms. Trim tails and hide the ends inside body.

MOVING FEET BODY:

~ magic ring
~ 6 scs in magic ring (6)
~ 2 scs in each st around (12)
~ *1 sc, 1 inc* around (18)
Work the rest of the body as the standing feet, I will mark with $$$$$
*****************************************************************

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FOR STANDING FEET OPTION: bind off only first foot, follow next section

JOINING THE STANDING FEET:

~ working with second foot, single crochet 3 stitches (you should end up on the middle of
the side of the foot) ch 2, pick up the other foot. point the toes of both feet towards you.
you should start in around the same spot as the opposite foot, join with a single crochet and
single crochet around the entire foot, then single crochet in that same stitch you did the first
joining single crochet. single crochet 1 in each of the 2 chains joining the feet. single crochet
in the same stitch as last sc of the first foot. single crochet 6, single crochet 1 in each of
the 2 chain stitches on the other side. this will be where you mark the start of the round. (18)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BODY/TORSO (this is for both moving feet and standing options)
$$$$$ - (here is where you will continue the body for the moving feet)
~ work 4 rows even of 18 single crochets around (18)
~ sc 15, dec twice (16)
~ sc 13, dec twice (14)
~ sc 12, leave 2 unworked, DO NOT BIND OFF this is the neck :)

HEAD
~ FRONT LOOP ONLY FOR THIS ROUND: increase in the next 3 stitches, 1 sc in each of next 11 sts
~ BOTH LOOPS - inc, 1 sc in each of next 2 sts, inc, 1 sc, in each of next 2 sts, inc, 1 sc in
each of next 10 sts.
~ 1 sc in each st around (20)
~ 1 sc in each of next 2 sts, dec [this is for eye placement] , 1 sc in each of next 2 sts,
dec [this is for eye placement], 1 sc in each of next 2 sts, inc [this is for ear placement],
1 sc in each of next 8 sts, inc [this is for ear placement](20)
~ 1 sc in each of next 2 sc, inc, dec [this is nose bridge], inc, 1 sc in each of next 14 sts (21)
~ 1 sc in each of next 3 sts, inc, 1 sc in each of next 2 sts, inc, 1 sc in each of next 14 sts (23)
*FOREHEAD*
~ 1 sc in each st around (23)
~ 1 sc in each st around (23)
~ 1 sc in each of next 3 sts, dec, 1 sc in each of next 2 sts, dec, 1 sc in each of next 14 sts.
~ 1 sc in each of next 2 sts, dec, 1 sc in ea of next 3 sts, dec, 1 sc in each of next 10 sts, dec (18)
~ *1 sc, dec* around (12)
~ *1 sc, dec* around (8)
~ *dec* around (4)
    - bind off and leave a tail to weave thru 4 stitches and pull drawstring
this will leave you a pointy head like kewpies have a little pointy hair on their head

HANDS (make 2)

NOTE: there is probably a better way to do this, but I did the hands this way in an attempt to
make fingers, if you come up with a better way, comment below and I will credit you

~ magic ring
~ *1 sc, 1 chain* 4 times for 4 fingers, single crochet, (single crochet, ch 1) for a thumb, single crochet. pull tight the magic ring.
~ working only in the single crochet stitches, ignore the chains, single crochet, dec, dec, single crochet, single crochet (5)
~ 1 sc in each st around for 4 rounds.
    - bind off leaving a long tail. weave tail thru the 5 stitches and pull like a draw string. secure it.
find the 2 decreases on last rnd of body. count 2 stitches over on both sides. insert tail
pull tail to back of body. secure a knot, hide knot inside body. hands will be moveable (see photo for
    moving feet)

Embroider the face as you wish. I have included 2 different examples of how I embroider them. If you want to use beads or safety eyes, insert where the decreases for eyes are. Kewpies are looking off to the side, so put them on one side of the decreases, not necessarily center.
